Dave Mazza Biography
Dave Mazza is an American Chief Meteorologist currently working for NBC4 in Columbus. You can catch him on NBC4 during the week at 4 pm, 5 pm, 5:30 pm, 6 pm, 7 pm, and 11 pm. Mazza joined NBC4 in October 2012.
Prior to joining Storm Team 4, he worked all over Texas- from NBC affiliates in San Angelo in West Texas, San Antonio, and Austin, to the CBS affiliate in Corpus Christi. Mazza is a native of Crystal Lake, IL, where he attended Purdue University (Boiler Up!) and received his bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science.
Mazza’s first job was delivering newspapers twice a week – mainly to buy baseball cards (which he still has) and save money (which he no longer has). Prior to joining Storm Team 4, Dave worked all over Texas- from NBC affiliates in San Angelo in West Texas, San Antonio, and Austin, to the CBS affiliate in Corpus Christi.
Mazza joined the NBC4 team back in October of 2012. In addition, Dave is a member of the American Meteorological Society and earned the AMS’s prestigious designation of Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (Seal #493).
