Dave Roever Biography
Dave Roever is a patriotic veteran who served in the United State Navy Special Warfare Division between 1968 and 1971. Joining the navy had never crossed his mind. When the Vietnam war was at its peak, he received his draft notice. Since he had no desire to serve in the infantry, Dave decided to join the army where he served as a riverboat gunner in the elite Brown Water Black Beret in Vietnam.
After 8 months, Dave was involved in an accident. He was holding a phosphorous grenade that he was about to throw. Unfortunately, it exploded and burnt him beyond recognition. He underwent major surgeries and was hospitalized for fourteen months. His survival and life are nothing short of a miracle.
Roever studied at the Bible College in Texas and was awarded an honorary Doctorate Degree in May 2005 as a recognition for his achievements. He is also an evangelist.
