Deborah Knight is a well-known Australian television, radio host, journalist, and news presenter. She is currently working as a host for the A Current Affair on Friday and Saturday as well as in 2GB as a radio presenter. Formerly, Knight worked at Nine Network’s breakfast program Today as a co-host. Prior to this, she was born and raised in Harbour, New South Wales, Australia.
After high school, she attended Charles Sturt University in Bathurst, New South Wales where she graduated with a degree in Journalism. Her career began when she joined the radio station 2WG in Wagga Wagga. Later after she moved to Mix 106.5 in Sydney and later to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. While there she first worked as a reporter and build herself a secure reputation which made her to be noticed within the industry. There she worked in a variety of roles and covered news from rural to Triple J and even from prestigious AM and breakfast programs on Radio National.
Deborah made her first television appearance role as a presenter/reporter on ABC TV show Landline. Thereafter, she moved and joined Network Ten in the Canberra Press Gallery. In 2001, she was selected to serve as a correspondent on 10 News First. During her time there she covered major stories like the September 11 attacks. Thereafter, she worked as a co-host for the flagship Sydney bulletin replacing Jessica Rowe in 2006. At the end of 2011, she was replaced by Sandra Sully as the presenter of Network Ten’s Ten News at Five in Sydney.

After that, she joined the Nine Network as a news presenter on Weekend Today and Monday news presenter on Today. Knight worked there for four years before replacing Leila McKinnon as the co-host of the Weekend Today. Moreover, she served as presenter of Nine News Sydney on Friday and Saturday nights, replacing Georgie Gardner. Thereafter she was replaced by Allison Langdon on Weekend Today. Besides that, she has worked as a fill-in presenter on channels like Today Extra, Today, A Current Affair, and Nine News Sydney.
Additionally, she also worked as the new co-host of the Nine Network’s breakfast program Today, after replacing Karl Stefanovic. In January 2020, Deborah replaced Steve Price as the afternoon host of the 2GB.
