Denise Valdez is an American broadcast journalist currently serving as a news anchor and reporter for KLAS Channel 8 News based in Las Vegas, Nevada. She joined the KLAS news team after working as a weekend anchor for KNBC News for almost five years. Valdez is known for covering countless events in Southern Nevada, nurturing a sense of trust and credibility for KLAS Viewers from 5 pm, 6 pm and 11 pm every weeknight since joining KLAS in 2006.
Valdez was born and brought up by a working-class Native American family living in the suburbs of Nevada, United States. Growing up, Denise was described as a very focused young girl who liked studying and spending time with her family. She attended Granda Hills High School and graduated back in the early 1990s.
