Desiree Fluellen Biography
Desiree Fluellen is an American news anchor and reporter currently working for Fox 10 since joining the station in March 2021. She started her broadcast career in her hometown at WKBW-TV in Buffalo, New York.
A native of Lockport, New York, Desiree graduated from Lockport High School in 2009. She then joined Buffalo State College, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a major in Political Science and Economics. During her time in college, Fluellen was an economics tutor and a contributing author to “The World of Economics.”
Fluellen joined Fox 10 News in Phoenix, Arizona in March 2021 to work as a reporter and fill-in anchor. She and her family are proud to make the Phoenix area their home.
Desiree started her television career in her hometown at WKBW-TV in Buffalo, New York, where she spent three years as the network’s traffic, entertainment, and general assignment reporter, as well as a fill-in anchor.

In August 2016, Desiree got an opportunity to join NBC10 in Boston as the weekend morning anchor and a weekday reporter for NBC Boston’s Weekend Today. At the station, she spent time covering multiple Nor’easter storms, political rallies at the State House, court proceedings surrounding Aaron Hernandez, and many other important local and national stories. Moreover, Desireecovered the Boston Celtics, Red Sox and Bruins, New England Patriots, and the Boston Ballet.
In 2018, Desiree moved with her husband, David Fluellen Jr., to Nashville, where he was playing for the Tennessee Titans. While there, she was hired by WSMV-Tv as a reporter and anchor. As Desiree was anchoring one weekend morning, a mass shooting took place at a Waffle House.
The devastating national story rocked the community as Desiree covered it extensively for her station. It is certainly one of the things she will never forget.
When she is not working, enjoys riding ATVs through the desert, hiking, trying new food, and organizing!
