Elizabeth Landers is an American journalist who is currently working as a White House Producer for CNN in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Initially, she worked as a news assistant, where she gathered news for the CNN Wires service. She has also worked for Glamour Magazine, Daily Front Row, and SCENE Magazine/New York Observer as a contributing writer.
Landers joined Maclay School in 1995 and graduated in 2009. She then joined Tufts University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, Political Science, and Government in 2013.
Following her graduation, she worked for two years as a freelance writer for Daily Front Row. While there she managed the Coterie tradeshow issue and functioned as a liaison with ENK Tradeshows. Elizabeth was also a weak freelance writer conducting interviews backstage with designers.
In January 2013, she joined Glamour Magazine as an Online Editorial Intern where she worked under online associate editor Meredith Turits on the health and fitness beat. In addition, she was in the office of state representative Carl Sciortino in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, where she investigated the use of conversion therapy in Massachusetts from September 2012 to May 2013.
She was also a contributing writer for SCENE Magazine from September 2013 to June 2014. She pitched and conducted original interviews in fashion, interior design, and lifestyle beats.
Most notably, she joined CNN in June 2013 as a freelance News Assistant. For 1 year and 11 months, she gathered news for the CNN Wires service. Later on, she was a video producer at CNN for one year and 10 months from April 2015 to January 2017. Landers is currently the White House Producer for CNN.
