Emeraude Toubia is a Canadian-American actress who rose to fame for playing the main role of Isabelle Lightwood of the Lightwood family on Free Form’s series called Shadowhunters. She also gained more attention from the public for starring in telenovelas like Cosita Linda as Dulce and Stephaine Karam in Voltea pa’ que te enamores. Her other on-screen roles are in film and TV Series like Aurora (2010), With Love (since 2021), Tattooed Love (2015), and Holiday in Santa Fe.
Toubia was born in Montreal, Quebec Canada to Latin-American parents but she was raised in Brownsville, Texas as the only child in her family. Her mother is a Mexican native while her father is an American citizen of Lebanese descent. Toubia grew up as a very talented kid who trained to be a professional dancer at the age of ten. She now knows how to dance classical ballet, belly dance, and flamenco. Toubia attended and graduated from Homer Hanna High School in her hometown. Toubia began her career as a pageant model and actress at the age of ten. She then participated in beauty events while making an appearance in a 1999 program called El Mundo de Los Ninos. From there, Emeraude was hand-picked as one of the cast members in a Pageant series called Nuestra Belleza Katina in early 2001. She was voted first runner-up in the Univision competition. In 2009, Toubia made her second appearance as a model in another famous pageant show called Model Latina. She finished the competition in fifth place.
Toubia made her official return to the acting scene by starring in a 2014 Venevison Tv series known as Costa Linda. She played her critically acclaimed role Dulce Rincon and earned attention from the public and various Hollywood directors.
