Emily Florez is an American journalist working as a weeknight anchor at TVX ABC4 News in Greater Salt Lake City. Florez has served as a reporter, anchor, and weather specialist at KIDK based in Idaho Falls. She covered breaking news and specialized in crime, politics, social services, and agriculture. Emily has served as a fill-in anchor and feature host for Eastern Idaho’s Primary Children’s Medical Center Miracle Network Telethon.
With the help of ENPS and Avid, Emily was able to shoot, produce and edit daily packages. She also produced and anchored 2-3 minutes of live weather segments as the channel’s fill-in weather specialist.
From June to December 2009, Emily worked as a News Intern at KTVX ABC4 News in Greater Salt Lake City Area where she conducted interviews, logged tape, and transcribed it into the desired format. She developed and presented daily story ideas to both Assignment Editor and Assistant News Director.
In 2003, Emily enrolled at Brigham Young University for a degree and later graduated from the University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
