Erin Colton Biography
Erin Colton is an American award-winning news reporter who is currently serving at News 12 Long Island and MSG Varsity. She began her career as a production assistant and progressed through the ranks to become a writer, producer, sports anchor, and reporter. In addition, she currently coaches a young ladies’ childhood b-ball group.
After graduating from Syracuse University, Colton joined News 12 Long Island as a production assistant in May 2004. She was promoted, followed by a producer, to the role of a journalist. Finally, in 2007, to the sports anchor and the reporter in the years that followed.
As well as a sports journalist, Colton covers sports for News 12 Long Island and its sister channel, MSG Varsity. She followed his journey to Lake Placid, where he accomplished his target by completing an Ironman competition. Colton shared with David Garden the prize. As of now, she works on News 12 Long Island as the Morning Reporter, covering breaking news from the region.
