Faith Daniels Biography
Faith Daniels is an American television news anchor, reporter, and talk show host. She is best known for working as an anchor at CBS Morning News and NBC’s Today Show.
Daniels went to school at Trinity High School in Washington, Pennsylvania. She later went to Bethany College in Bethany, West Virginia. At Bethany College, Faith became a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. Faith’s career in the media began in the early 1980s at WTRF-TV in Wheeling, West Virginia.
In addition, Faith served at ABC and CBS affiliates in Peoria, Illinois. She also worked at WBNS-TV in Columbus, Ohio, and at WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Daniels’ career in national news began in 1985 when she joined CBS News to work as an anchor for CBS Morning News. At that time, she was 28 years old and was one of the youngest national news anchors.
In 1990, Faith joined NBC to work as a news anchor for ‘Today’ and later became the host for ‘News at Sunrise’. Moreover, she was the first journalist to host her own national daily talk show titled A Closer Look. The show was later renamed Faith Daniels and became part of the network’s mid-day daytime schedule.
On her show, she managed to interview Stacey Koon, one of the police officers involved in the beating of Rodney King in 1992. In 2006, she played as a debate moderator in Robin Williams’s movie Man of the Year. Currently, Daniels is a self-employed Freelance Journalist and Media Consultant. She works with significant company CEOs and executives on strategic messaging and delivery skills.
