Gabby Logan Biography
Gabrielle Nicole Logan is a famous Welsh television and radio presenter. Currently, Nicole works as a sports presenter for BBS Sport. Previously, she worked as an international rhythmic gymnast who represented Wales and Great Britain. She is a native of Leeds, West Riding of Yorkshire, England. In 2020, she was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) of the New Year Honours.
Logan went to school at Cardinal Heenan High School and later attended Notre Dame Sixth Form College in Leeds. While in high school she took part in sports games like Netball and high jump. Her sports career took off when she was placed in rhythmic gymnastics representing Wales at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland. She made her first TV appearance in 1991 when she participated in the Rose of Tralee competition as the Leeds Rose. Besides that, she also plays golf and runs.
After graduating from Durham University, Yorath was hired as a presenter at Metro Radio in Newcastle. Later on, she joined Sky Sports as a presenter and worked there for two years before moving to ITV Network. At ITV, Logan served as a sports presenter and covered major sports news including the UEFA Champions League. In 2016, Gabby left ITV and joined BBS Sport. While there she covered the Rugby World Cup as well as presented the show titled Britain’s Brilliant Prodigies.

After stepping back for her maternity leave in 2004, she returned back in 2015 and showcased the reality series Flockstars on ITV. During her time at BBS Sport, Logan has covered major head-highlight events like the FA Cup fourth between Luton Town and Blackburn Rovers. She also hosted Final Score from 2009 until 2013. In 2008 Gabby replaced Craig Doyle as host of the BBC’s Six Nations Championship coverage. Later after, she became the main host of athletics for BBC Sport. From 2013 to 2014, she covered the World Athletics Championships and the European Athletics Championships.
Prior to that, Gabby also hosted the BBC One series I Love My Country, featuring Micky Flanagan and Frank Skinner. Moreover, she was a member of The Invictus Games on BBC One as well as in the media team. On top of that, she also hosted the BBC IAAF coverage in London and IAAF World Championships in Athletics. As of 2022, Logan hosted coverage of the Women’s Six Nations Championship.
Aside from her work, Gabby is also involved with charitable events, and as of now, she is the patron of The Disabilities Trust. She and her husband Kenny are past presidents of the children’s charity Sparks. In 2013, Nicole was named the first Chancellor of Leeds Trinity University. Throughout her career, Logan has been nominated and awarded many awards like “Most Popular Entertainment Presenter” in 2014.
