Gina Maravilla is an American journalist who is an American journalist who is currently working as a traffic anchor and reporter at KTVK. She is also a media personality known for presenting the ‘Good Morning Arizona’. Prior to this, she worked as a morning news anchor and reporter at KPHO.
She attended and graduated from Georgetown University, where she graduated with a degree in Political Economy and in Political Journalism. Later, she joined Arizona State University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. From here, she received a political science degree and a minor in sociology.
Later on, she enrolled at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Likewise, Maravilla obtained a degree in broadcast journalism. While attending Georgetown University, she worked at “Meet the Press” in Washington as part of a political journalism program.
She then started at 3TV as a 19-year-old intern. Later on, she worked her way up the ladder, becoming a reporter and weekend anchor. Gina spent 10 years of her career at Channel 3 before she left the desert for the beach. She also anchored and reported at BayNews9 in Tampa, Florida, where she covered Florida’s 2004 presidential campaign.
Most notably, she later returned to the Phoenix area where her two children were born. Maravilla is happy to be back home and enjoys covering the community she loves.
