Glenna Milberg is an American journalist currently working as a reporter for WPLG Local 10 News. She joined the station in September 1999 to serve on Florida’s top stories and community matters. In addition, Milberg also serves as a co-host on Local 10’s public affairs broadcast, “This Week in South Florida.”
A native of New York, Glenna graduated from the University of Florida as an English major with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In addition, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism from Florida International University, where she was termed an outstanding broadcast journalist.
Glenna began her career as a print journalist for a travel trade magazine. She made the move to broadcast news in 1987. She has covered extensively stories in South Florida, which include crime and Category 5s from the Everglades to the ocean, campaigns, and many many others. Besides, Milberg has traveled widely to bring home stories ranging from earthquakes in California and Colombia, the plight of orphans in Ukraine to Cuba’s revolution and evolution.
Glenna won the Big Impact Award from Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Miami, Hadassah’s Myrtle Wreath Award. Similarly, she was named a “Woman Worth Knowing” by Miami Beach’s Commission on the Status of Women and she was also chosen as one of South Florida’s important women by Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Cancer Lifeline.
