Greg Groogan is an American journalist who presently works as a special projects reporter for FOX 26. He is a native Texan and has won over 200 journalism accolades, including 28 Lone Star Emmys. Groogan was named Television Journalist of the Year by the Houston Press Club in 2010, 2013, and 2017. In 2010, he won the first prize for beat reporting from the National Education Writers Association.

In addition, Greg is a seven-time regional winner of the Edward R. Murrow award, as well as a two-time Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism winner for his reporting on children with special needs and a three-time Barbara Jordan Award winner for excellence in coverage of Texans with disabilities.
