Tom Zizka is an American journalist who works as a weekend evening anchor and business reporter for FOX 26 KRIVE-TV in Houston, Texas. In September 1998, he became a member of the station’s staff. Tom also contributes to the Predator Check effort, which has won an Emmy Award.
From June 1992 thru August 1998, Zizka worked as a Troubleshooter Reporter at WSYX-TV in Columbus, Ohio. In addition, from 1989 to 1992, he worked as a correspondent for WSAZ-TV. He works in general assignment reporting on a daily basis, with a focus on Southern Ohio.
Since joining Fox 26, Zizka has donned a variety of hats, including investigative reporter, consumer advocate, problem solver, and reporter for the extremely popular Predator Check Project. Furthermore, he has covered many modern-day tragedies and delights, including the Aggie Bonfire collapse, the Shuttle Columbia catastrophe, Hurricane Katrina and Rita, the Astros’ 2005 World Series run, and both Super Bowls held at NRG Stadium.
