Gurvir Dhindsa is an Indian-born American journalist who is currently working as a news anchor and reporter for CBS46. She anchors the news aired on the channel CBS46 on the weekdays from 4:30 to 7 a.m.
Having graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Journalism, Dhindsa started her career in 1997 as a news anchor for FOX 5’s Good Day Atlanta. She spent her time here until 2000 when she relocated to Washington, DC, where she worked for a number of stations until 2011.
Following her career, she began working for WUSA-TV, Channel 9 in 2000 immediately after relocating to Washington. However, she was laid off a few years later. Following this, she returned to Good Day Atlanta in 2011 to replace Suchita Vadlamain.
Throughout her career, she has won various honors for her anchoring and field reporting. Dhindas has also received multiple Mississippi Associated Press honors and was nominated for an Emmy for her coverage of the Atlanta Olympics. Currently, she is the morning news reporter for the CBS46 Network.
