Haleigh Vaughn Biography
Haleigh Vaughn is an American meteorologist currently working at FOX 17 News since joining the station in June 2021. Vaughn grew up in West Michigan, and she is excited to be back home.
At a young age, she was afraid of tornadoes and tough storms. She transformed her anxiety into a passion by studying meteorology.
Regarding her education, Haleigh went to Central Michigan University, where she graduated with a major in meteorology, a minor in mathematics, and a minor in broadcast and cinematic arts. In addition, she received the American Meteorological Society seal, so she is a certified broadcast meteorologist.
Vaughn’s career began at 9 & 10 News in Northern Michigan, where she worked for several years forecasting lake impact snow and connecting with Northern Michigan communities. After her tenure at Northern Michigan, she headed to WTVG 13abc in Toledo, Ohio, where she immediately fell in love with everything Toledo.
Forecasting in West Michigan brings Haleigh so much pride. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her puppy and soon-to-be husband. In addition, she loves baking, running, and cooking, as well as going on outdoor adventures across West Michigan.
