Hayden Nix is an American meteorologist currently working at KARK 4, Little Rock, as a weekend meteorologist. Nix joined the Arkansas Storm Team in February 2017.
Previously, Hayden served as a morning meteorologist at KTXS News in the Abilene, Texas area from August 2015 to February 2017 after he was promoted from being a weekend meteorologist from August 2014 to July 2015.
Moreover, Nix was a weather intern at KATV Channel 7 News, Little Rock, from June 2012 to August 2013. His duties included forecasting for the area of Little Rock; adding weather data for the show; creating graphics; and updating social media channels.
Hayden graduated from Rison High School, enrolled at Mississippi State University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology with Broadcast Emphasis and a minor in communication. In addition, Hayden earned the prestigious broadcast meteorologist seal of approval from the National Weather Association.
Nix’s fascination with weather began at an early age. “I love the weather. It is my passion, and I also love to serve people, ”he says. “That is why this job means so much and excites me because I get to do both at the same time.”
