Howie Carr Biography
Howie Carr is an American journalist, political author, news reporter, writer, and conservative radio talk show host. He hosts The Howie Carr Show in Wellesley, MA.
He also broadcasts on WRKO in Boston on weekdays and to an audience based in New England. Carr also writes three columns a week for the Boston Herald. Howie has been syndicated on more than twenty-five radio stations in northern and central New England.
In November 2014, he formed his own Howie radio network and left syndicator Entercom Communications. The pay television channel Newsmax TV started stimulating the show in September 2016. Including Mark Levin and Dennis Miller, Howie has filled in for many nationally syndicated talk show hosts.
For Boston TV stations like WGBH-TV and WLVI, Carr worked as a reporter and a commentator. Carr graduated from Deerfield Academy and later enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). He became a member of Phi Beta Kappa where he wrote The Daily Tar Heel in the students’ newspaper. He later graduated in 1973.
