Ivanna Sakhno Biography
Ivanna Anatoliyivna Sakhno is a Ukrainian and American actress. She is popular for starring as Cadet Viktoriya in the science fiction monster film Pacific Rim Uprising, the hitwoman, and in the action comedy film The Spy Who Dumped Me. Moreover, Sakhno is a member of a Ukraine fundraising event that showcases Ukrainian art to benefit Ukrainian children displaced by the war.
Sakhno was born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine. She studied English in Vancouver, Canada where she was discovered by Janet Hirshenson and Jane Jenkins at a casting workshop. Thereafter, she moved to the United States and started pursuing her career in acting. While there, she attended Beverly Hills High School and later at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
Her career started in 2005 when was featured in a small role in the series Lesya + Roma. She become recognized in 2016 in the thriller film The Body Tree by Thomas Dunn. Next, Sakho also starred in two famous series Pacific Rim Uprising and The Spy Who Dumped Me. She is better known for her appearances in the 2009 film Kontrakt, and the Green Day music video for the single “Bang Bang” from their 2016 album Revolution Radio.
Aside from that, she was a member of the jury of the International Competition Program of the 10th Odessa International Film Festival. Her other appearances include the 2017 Blumhouse Productions film Viral. As of 2020, Ivanna starred in the leading role in the thriller film ” Let it Snow” which is the largest American distributor Lionsgate acquired for distribution of the film by a Ukrainian director. On top of that, she also appeared in the Disney+ series “Ahsoka”, which is part of the “Star Wars” franchise. Sakhno was also cast in series like The Reunion (2022) and High Fidelity (2020).
