Previously, Janet worked at Univision Communications Inc. as a White House Correspondent. She joined the station in April 2016 from Telemundo Network News in Chicago where she worked as a correspondent.
Janet spent 10 years working as a reporter in Washington DC, Phoenix, Arizona, and Chicago. A native of Cuba, Rodriquez’s family migrated to Miami when she was 12 years old. In Cuba, journalism was government-dominated and nothing would pave way for ordinary journalism to shine. After relocating to Miami, she was astonished by the turn-in tables. In February 2013, Rodriguez relocated to Chicago, Illinois, to join NBCUniversal Hispanic Group as a news correspondent. She then moved to Washington D.C. to work for Univision Communications Inc. as a White House Correspondent from April 2016 until her exit in December 2021.
