Jason Dunning is an American Broadcast meteorologist currently working as the meteorologist at NBC2 News TODAY, Southwest Florida’s #1 rated morning news. Before joining the NBC2 team, he served as the morning and noon meteorologist at WCBI-TV in Columbus, Mississippi.

However, Jason is a native of Florida who grew up in Palatka, a tiny town in northeast Florida near the St. Johann River. At a very young age, Jason enjoyed the weather. When he was in middle school, Jason borrowed a video camera from his mother to tape his own weather segments, including hand-drawn charts and weather channel screenshots.
After collaborating with a few other neighborhood kids to record news and sports, he would deliver several copies of the Neighborhood New to every house on the block. Jason likes to fly, work out and discover all that South West Florida wants, while he is not at work in the First Warning Storm Monitoring Center. He likes to fish and be near to the water in particular.
