Jason Fielder Biography
Jason Fielder is an American Journalist who is currently working as a sports anchor and reporter for WNEM-TV since November 2006. In addition, he can be seen anchoring and reporting on TV5 news.
A Michigan native, Jason is a Saginaw Valley State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication. Later on, he went to the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, in Syracuse, New York where he graduated with a Masters of Science in Broadcast Journalism. In addition, he interned in various stations including WEYI-TV 25 in Clio, where he spent most of his time in the newsroom. He also interned in WTOP Radio in Washington, where he took coverage on major league baseball, and also interned WKTV 2 in Uatacia.
Following his internship, he began his career in Alpena, Michigan where he worked for WBKB-TV as the morning weekday sports reporter and the morning weekend sports anchor. He was later promoted to Sports Director at the station. In addition, he was a volunteer for the MDA, co-hosting the Jerry Lewis Telethon at WBKB-TV for the whole local segment. Fielder has also served as the celebrity auctioneer at the Carabial Cabaret.
