Jeff Butera Biography
Jeff Butera is an American journalist who is currently working as an anchor at ABC7 since joining the station in April 2012. Prior to joining his current station, he worked all across the Sunshine State.
He grew up in Orlando where he attended high school literally across the street from Universal Studios. Jeff later graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida.
After covering news in almost every part of Florida, Jeff is happy to now make his home in the Fort Myers area, joining ABC7 as the station’s main anchor. He anchors the afternoon and evening newscasts.
His work in the news business has earned him three Emmy awards and ten Emmy nominations. In addition, The Associated Press named him ‘Best Reporter’ twice. When off his duties, he enjoys reading, writing, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs.
