Jeff Probst Biography
Jeff Probst is a game show host and also an Executive producer working with Mark Burnett, the Survivor Show’s creator. He is best known as the Emmy Award-winning host of the adventure reality television show ‘Survivor’. However, he also used to host his own show, The Jeff Probst Show.
Though he was born in Wichita, Kansas, United States, he grew up in Bellevue, Washington. After his graduation from Newport High School in 1979, he joined Seattle Pacific University. He also worked at Boeing Motion Picture/Television studio as a producer and narrator of marketing videos.
He thereafter shifted to KIRO TV where he hosted a variety of shows. In 1994, he joined FX where he hosted both Backchat and Sound FX. This temporal show lasted for 4 years and by 1998 he was hosting Rock n Roll Jeopardy on VH1.
He set in for Survivor in 2000 where he learned about it from a radio program where Mark Burnett was promoting it. Lucky enough, it was his golden chance. When they connected, it was a super match. The show was first staged in Borneo in 2000 where it had more than 30 million viewers.
The show has been hosted from different locations since its first flourishing show. These locations include Thailand, Australia, Vanuatu, Guatemala, Gabon, and Samoa. This series has since been growing with many viewers.
