Jesse Hawila Biography
Jesse Hawila is an American Meteorological Society Certified Broadcast Meteorologist presently working as a meteorologist and weather reporter at WFAA-TV, an ABC-affiliated television station in Dallas, Texas. Hawila began working as a roaster for the station in April of 2015. He specializes in television and digital weather forecasting and reporting.
After completing his secondary school studies, Hawila enrolled at Ball State University and earned a degree in meteorology.
Before joining WFAA, Jesse worked as a meteorologist for WANE-TV in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He tracked snowstorms and severe storms while he was there, with many of them occurring in the open. As a meteorologist, he started his profession in Lafayette, Louisiana. Hawila has also worked in Kansas City and Indiana. He reported on tornadoes, ice storms, and blizzards throughout his time there. He’s also worked for KCTV-TV, a CBS affiliate in Kansas City, as a meteorologist.
Jesse is also a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist with the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and carries the AMS seal of approval. He’s also a storm chaser who has traveled across the country researching tornadoes and extreme weather.
Besides weather, Jesse’s biggest passion is music. He loves all music as long as it is written honestly and with a purpose. He also loves stand-up comedy, playing video games, fishing, biking, hiking, and drinking about a pot of coffee a day.

Elisabeth also holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Missouri Columbia. She is a Delta Sorority member as well. Sloane Rylee, a baby girl born on January 22, 2021, is the couple’s first child together.
