John Brown Fox 35 Biography
John Brown is an American journalist who is currently working as an anchor at FOX 35 News and anchors the evening news. Prior to this, he worked in St. Louis where he was named Best Large Market News Anchor by the Missouri Broadcasters Association in 2020.
In addition, he previously anchored Good Day Orlando on the station where he and his co-anchor, Amy Kaufeldt were named to several “Best of Orlando” lists during his tenure in Orlando. John was also the Host of “The Daily Buzz” a morning news-talk show at the station and also hosted a talk radio show “John Brown’s Mindset. He made worldwide headlines with his Kardashian “Walk Off” in 2015 which has been seen by many viewers estimated to be over 40 Million.
A St. Joseph, Missouri native, John attended Belle High School in his hometown where he was a standout athlete in high school. Later on, he received his undergraduate degree from Central Methodist University, where he was on the basketball and golf teams.

Following his graduation, he started his broadcast career in 1995 at WQAM in Miami, Florida. While there, he began off as a producer on the morning show, The First Team, with Joe Rose. Following this, he was named the Morning Show host at 95.3, 3WZ radio station (WZWW) in-state College, Pennsylvania.
Later on, he began working at KSPR-TV in Springfield, Missouri in 1999 where he was named the morning show anchor of a start-up newscast called The Morning Scoop. In 2003, he was promoted to evening news anchor. After 5 years of service in this station, landed a job as host of the nationally syndicated TV show, The Daily Buzz based in Orlando, Florida.
In addition, he became an anchor and reporter at KTVI-TV (FOX 2) in St. Louis where he also hosted a talk radio show on KTRS called Brown’s Mindset. However, in late 2009, he returned to Orlando to become the morning anchor of Good Day Orlando. He again left Good Day Orlando in 2016 and returned to KTVI as an evening anchor and political correspondent. At the beginning of 2021, John returned to FOX 35 as an evening news anchor and has been here since.
