John Torode is an Australian-British celebrity chef and Tv presenter who gained national recognition for working at Conran Group’s restaurants. He also starred in ITV’s This Morning and the famous revamped MasterChef BBC One back in 2005. Torode even gained more recognition for authoring his own series of Cookbooks and recipes including on with Master Chef Judge Gregg Wallace.

Torode was born in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia but grew up around MMaitland and Edithvale, Melbourne. He grew up as the last born in a family of three boys in Melbourne. He was raised by his father after the sudden passing of his mother at the age of four. After the death of his mother, John, hisbrothers and father moved to Matland to live with their grand mother who taught how to cook different recipes in his eraly teenage yaers. He then launched his career for the first tme as a cook who worked at Le Coq Au Vin restaurant in Aspendale at teh age of fifteen.

John began his career officaily as achef at the age of 16 after leaving regualr school to attend a catering college, In 1991, she reloacted to the United Kingdom and began working as at Le POnt de la tur as a sous chef for the Conran Group with Terence Coan. This is where JOhn met Gregg Wallace and became friends withhim. Gregg’s compnay suplied food stuffes for the restaurant during that time. In 1996, Torode came to the limelight after joining ITV’s The Morning show back in 1996 as a celebrity chef and professional cook. He played that role until 2000. He also published his first cook book The Mezzo Cookbook while he was working at ITV> From there, Torode went on to be a celebrity chef who starred in various UK tV shows like Good Food’s show, BBC’s The Magicians, and more.
