Jon Erickson Biography
Jon Erickson is an Emmy Award-winning journalist currently based in Northeast Wisconsin as the co-anchor of NBC 26 Live at 10. In May of 2017, he became a member of the station’s staff.
Erickson graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and finance in 2008. In 2014, Jon jumped from the 100th to the 12th TV market. He uncovered information in Phoenix that revealed a charter school district had broken open meeting regulations; district management accepted the error and modified their policy. In addition, he traveled the length and breadth of the state, reporting on wildfires and dust storms. He discovered that some of Phoenix’s wealthiest households had been years behind in their fire tax payments.
Erickson had served as a weekend anchor and lead reporter in New Bern, North Carolina, before moving to Phoenix. He won two Associated Press best news writing honors while in North Carolina.
