Jonathan Scott is a Canadian TV personality on the HGTV series The Property Brothers and the co-founder and CEO of Scott Brothers Entertainment. The company creates TV films and digital content like comedic videos like Funny or Die for North American and international broadcasters. Scott is also an illusionist, contractor, and film producer. Nevertheless, he is also a construction contractor, illusionist, and television/ film producer. Additionally, he is also famous for being the twin brother of Drew Scott.
Concerning his educational background, Scott completed his school at Thomas Haney Secondary School with his twin. Later, the reality TV personality attended the University of Calgary to pursue Business Management. Jonathan also enrolled at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and the Professional Home Builders Institute majoring in construction and design.
As an illusionist, Jonathan studied magic performance since childhood and through college until his career in television began. Scott has also performed illusions professionally, eventually relocating to Las Vegas. He joined the Vancouver Magic Circle and the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Over the decade, Scott has won several awards like 3rd Best Stage Performer of the Pacific Coast Association of Magicians at age 16. Scott studied volumes of Tarbell Course in Magic and sought out professional illusionists like David Wilson and Shawn Farquhar who became his mentors and friends
Scott moved to Vancouver and began to build large-scale illusions with the dream of making a touring theater show at age 19. In 2002, the twins and their older brother co-founded an independent film production company, Dividian Production Group.

He works with his twin brother and they have written a home improvement how-to book (memoir) and a children’s book about construction. In 2022 Silver Scott and his brothers released a magazine related to their brand titled Reveal.

Jonathan has won many awards for his magic/ illusion and has performed on TV and live on stage in Las Vegas. He is also a former national Karate Champion holding a 2nd Degree black belt. He has also taken part in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.
The twins have also been nominated severally. They have won different awards based on their TV Lifestyle Program. Leo Awards in 2012 for the Best Hosts in Lifestyle series Property Brothers. In 2012, the Rose d’Or Award and the Oustanding Structured Reality Program were at the Emmy Awards in 2015. Jonathan also serves as a global ambassador for the charity World Vision, working to improve Child protection in developing countries.
