Jorge Estevez Biography
Jorge Estevez is an American journalist who is currently working as a news anchor and reporter at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia, the United States since joining the station in January 2005. He anchors the station’s Channel 2 Action News at 11 pm. Estevez attended Rutgers University in New Jersey. He graduated with a dual degree in Journalism and Communication.
His career kicked off in New York in the late ’90s and his first job on television was at News 12 The Brox where he worked as a news reporter. Later on, he was promoted to the position of morning anchor in less than a year. In addition, he was nominated for an Emmy award after he aired the story of a 12-year-old boy-turned-author after his battle with bone marrow cancer.
In 2017, Estevez covered and reported on the devastation left behind on the island of Puerto Rico by Hurricane Maria. This story was of special significance to the Orlando area.
Prior to joining his current station, he worked at WFTV, an ABC affiliate in Orlando, Florida where he served as a reporter and anchor. While there, he covered the effects of 9/11 on Central Florida tourism. Currently, he works as a news anchor and reporter at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia, the United States.
