Josh Gates is a seasoned American television presenter, producer, and author, best known for hosting Destination Truth and Stranded on Syfy. Currently, Josh hosts The Discovery Channel series Expedition Unkwon, a show in which he is also the co-executive producer. He also hosts Legendary Locations.
Notably, Josh is also known to host multiple live specials as well as a guest investigator on the television series Ghost Hunters and its spin-offs; Ghost Hunters International. He further produces the related Ghost Nation series among other paranormal television shows through his production company Ping Pong Productions.
Gates went to Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, and graduated with a degree in archeology and drama. He started his career as an explorer and has climbed the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa and Mt. Aconcagua.
