Jovita Moore Biography
Jovita Moore is an American journalist who currently anchors the (5, 6, and 11) pm on Channel 2, WSB-TV Action News. Since 1998 when she joined the broadcast, Moore has received several Emmy Awards.
Born and growing up in New York, United States, Jovita attended Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. She graduated with a Master’s of Science Degree in Broadcast Journalism. In addition, she has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Bennington College, in Bennington, Vermont.
In 1990, Jovita then started her career as a News reporter at KFMS-TV in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She then worked for WMC-TV in Memphis, Tennessee for three years. Currently, Moore telecasts the daily News at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Whenever she is not Broadcasting, Jovita is always reporting especially during the week.
Outside WSB-TV, Moore is a busy lady who has a major contribution to civic associations and non-profit making organizations across Metro, Atlanta. Furthermore, she mentors students while sitting on several boards of directors.
Moore is also a key member of the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Black Journalists. In addition to her leadership, she is a member of Outstanding Atlanta’s Class of 2004 and Leadership Atlanta’s Class of 2007.
In 2007, she appeared on the list of 40 under 40 by Georgia Trend Magazine later getting a nomination as one of Jezebel magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful.
