JP Dellacamera Biography
JP Dellacamera is an American play-by-play sportscaster primarily for Major League Soccer with the Philadelphian Union. Prior to this, he worked as a play-by-play announcer for all National Team games on the NHL Network during the 2010 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. In addition, he is one of a handful of people to have worked for ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX.
During the 1980s, he was the play-by-play announcer for broadcasts of the original Major Indoor Soccer League on both ESPN and FNN-Soccer. JP didn’t announce the call for the 2006 World Cup final, with Dave O’Brien replacing him, but has collaborated with Tommy Smyth to become the lead radio commentary team.
He however parted ESPN in March 2011, to join Fox Soccer as their lead MSL play-by-plat commentator. As of November 2011, the NBC Sports Network signed a deal with the league to broadcast all-league during the 2012 season. He proceeded with his duties for the Philadelphian Union. In addition, he became a featured commentator in 2018, together with Tony Meola on FOX and FS1 for their United States broadcasts of the FIFA World Cup.
