Judy Ann Santos is a Filipino actress, host, product endorser, and film producer. She is known for her comedic and dramatic roles in independent films and blockbusters, as well as for her portrayals of oppressed and impoverished women. Moreover, Lumagui has received various accolades, including a Cairo International Film Festival Award, a Gawad Urian, two Luna Awards, two Metro Manila Film Festival Awards, and three FAMAS Awards.

Lumagui was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. She completed her elementary and high school education in Quezon City. Judy started her acting career at the age of 8 years when she played a minor role in the television series Kaming Mga Ulila. Thereafter, she was featured in the children’s television series Ula, Ang Batang Gubat in 1988. Since then, Ann had appeared in various supporting roles in films, like Impaktita, Regal Shocker: The Movie, and Dyesebel. Santos became more recognized when she and Gladys Reyes starred in the soap opera Mara Clara in 1992. 

After that, Judy reprised her role in the 1996 film adaptation and won the German Moreno Youth Achievement Award. For her performance, she won Best New Movie Actress at the FAMAS Awards. In addition to that, she also played the series Gimik as part of an ensemble cast that included Marvin Agustin, Mylene Dizon, Diether Ocampo, and G. Toeng. She also appeared as the title character in the superhero series Krystala in which she received a Star Award for Best Actress for the series. After one year of being absent on-screen, Santos appeared in three productions in 2006. Her first release was Don’t Give Up on Us, a romantic drama set in Baguio and Sagada that reunited her with Bernal and Pascual.

The biggest breakthrough of her career occurred after the release of Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo, which became a successful commercial earning ₱140 million at the box office. For her role, Santos was awarded the FAMAS, Golden Screen, Luna, Metro Manila Film Festival, and Star Award for Best Actress. Apart from her acting career, Ann is also a chef, restaurateur, and cookbook author. She co-owns a Filipino restaurant in Malate, Manila, that opened in May 2019. Also, she has another restaurant located in Alabang, Muntinlupa. Besides that, Judy co-produced and starred in the independent drama Ploning, which was the Philippine submission for Best Foreign Language Film at the 81st Academy Awards.
