Julie Montanaro is an award-winning American broadcast journalist currently serving as a news anchor on WCTV’s Eyewitness News on weeknights. She has been working for the station for close to thirty tears covering a wide range of news reports and stories like high-profile trials and dangerous hurricanes. She is also known for working as a United Way of Big Bend’s board of directors and chaired their 2016 campaigns.
Montanaro was born and raised in the lower side of Tallahassee, Florida to a loving middle-class Native American family. She finished her high school education at a private high school based in her hometown. She then enrolled at Syracuse University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and communications.
