Kaelee Collins is an American broadcast journalist currently serving as a multimedia journalist for WWLP 22 News in Springfield, Massachusetts since May 22. Before 22 News, she spent around five years working as a producer and news reporter for ORTV station in the Archdiocese of Hartford, Connecticut. Collins also gained more experience working as a correspondent for other stations based in Connecticut before finally moving to Massachusetts.
Collins was born and raised in the western part of Connecticut. She grew up as the youngest child in her family who enjoyed watching the evening and morning news every day. Therefore, boosting her passion to be a broadcast journalist. Kaelee finished her high school education in her hometown. She then enrolled at the Western Connecticut State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and broadcasting.
Kaelee began her career as a freelancer at Sacred Heart University after her college graduation. She was able to anchor the morning and evening news student station at the University. She also covered high school sports highlights and updates for the Sports New production at Sacred Heart. Collins then joined ORTV as a full-time field reporter. This was her first employment after leaving Sacred Heart University. She left OTRV in 2022 and joined WWLP 22 News in July 2022. Kaelee is more than happy to work and report news from the Pioneer Valley and Massachusetts. During the weekends, Collins enjoys running, spending time with family and friends and binge-watching Netflix.
