Karina Bolster is a renowned American multimedia journalist currently working for NBC12 News. She joined the team in March 2018. Prior to moving to Richmond, Karina worked as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor for WCSC (Live 5 News) in Charleston, South Carolina.
Bolster is a proud graduate of Suffolk University where she graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalist. She began her career as a multi-media journalist/anchor for Bangor, Maine’s WFVX/WVII. Bolster covered everything from city council meetings to breaking events during her tenure there.
She has covered a number of major breaking news incidents, including the 1000-year flood in South Carolina and the 2015 church killings at Walter Scott and Mother Emanuel AME. Karina was also the lead reporter for Dylann Roof’s federal death sentence prosecution in connection with the church attack.
