Kate Scott is an American journalist and the first woman to call an NFL game on the radio, and the first to call football for Pac-12 Networks. She is also a play-by-play announcer for the first-ever all-female NHL broadcaster in the US. Scott joined the networks in 2015. Scott a native of Clovis, California, earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from UC Berkeley.
Additionally, she has done voice and podcast work for over a decade. She previously worked for six years as a full-time female voice on KNBR 680-AM. During her tenure at this radio station, she spent three seasons as the television sideline reporter for the San Jose Earthquakes. She also anchored Saturday night sports for NBC Bay Area.
Most notably, she joined Pac-12 Networks in 2015 and has since covered a lot. From calling football, volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer, basketball, and softball.
