Tess Rafols Biography
Tess Rafols is an American journalist, reporter, and anchor currently working for CBS5. Initially, she served as the weekday show anchor for WTOL-TV in Ohio and KETT-TV. Tess joined the Arizona family in early 2005.
Rafols attended and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California.

Rafols began her career contributing to the Orange County News Station. The native of Southern California joined the Arizona family in January 2005 following weekday morning shows at WTOL in Toledo, Ohio, and KEYT-TV in Santa Barbara, California.
Tess has reported all manner of stories, from disasters such as the F-5 tornado to presidential visits, to investigative reports. But her favorite stories to share are those that touch people’s hearts and support those in need, as she does as part of Arizona’s Family Surprise Team. Additionally, Tess loves sharing money-saving and time-saving ideas, just ways to make life a little easier in her segments like “Tess’ Tips” and “Try it Tuesday with Tess.”
Rafols loves volunteering at community events, especially serving with animal organizations and children’s charities like the Arizona Humane Society, March of Dimes, and the Salvation Army.
As part of 3TV’s Good Morning Arizona family, Tess wakes you up with a smile as part of 3TV’s Good Morning Arizona team. You can find her anchoring with Javier Soto from 4:30 am to 6 am on weekdays, then doing segments and reports until 10 am.
