Katey Sagal Biography
Katey Sagal is an American actress as well as a songwriter. She is well known for playing the character of Peggy Bundy on Married with Children, Leela on Futurama, Cate Hennessy on 8 Simple Rules, and Gemma Teller on the FX Series Sons of Anarchy, for which she luckily won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress-Television TV Drama in 2011. Sagal also played Dr. Jones on Shameless from 2018 to 2019 as well as Louise on The Conners from 2018 to the present.
Katey began her career in show business as a singer and songwriter. In 1973, she performed as a backing vocalist for Bob Dylan and Tanya Tucker. Katey continued as doing backing vocalist for several well-known artists, such as Olivia Newton-John, and finally released her first solo album, Well, followed by Room in June 2004.

Sagal also played the role of the wife of John Ritter in the sitcom “8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter” in 2002. The series was all about a caring couple with three children, much in variance with her earlier image of being married with… children. After three episodes of the second season, Ritter died.
From 2005 to 2008, Katey appeared in the series “Lost,” the winner, and Eli Stone.
