WPXI is currently rated as the top-rated morning news show in Pittsburg She has won around three emmy awards for her incredible news coverage since 2013. Before WPXI, Katherin spent time working as a news correspondent for NewsChannel 8 based in Washington DC.
Amenta was born and raised by Italian parents living in West Windsor, New Jersey. She also spent a few years living on the shores of Ocean City, New York. Katherine attended WWP High School in her hometown. She was also an active member of the journalism club at the school. In 2000, Amenta enrolled at Villanova University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and journalism back n 2004.
