Kayce Freed is an American TV producer who rose to fame as the wife and Widow of the late accomplished ABC journalist Peter Jennings. She is also a co-founder of The Documentary Group where she works as a freelance producer. Kayce even spent a few years working as a full-time producer for ABC’s 20/20 news show. Freed got married to Jennings in 1997 as his fourth wife and they still remained together until his untimely demise in eraly 2005. Freed’s also produced other ABC News shows like Nightline and World News Tonight.
Freed was born and raised in a small town situated in Massachusetts. She grew up as a tomboy who loved discovering things, solving equations and reading a lot of storybooks. Freed attended Phillips Academy in Andover where she was a member of the school’s first co-educational Classes. She then enrolled at Brown University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Film production. Eventually, she earned another degree from the London School of Economics.
Freed began her career as a producer in the early 1980s as a TV news producer for ABC’s London Bureau. This was the era ABC and its other pressors were set to deliver a wide range of international news from Europe, the MIddel East, Africa and North America.
