Kelsey Davis is an American journalist currently serving as the Morning News Anchor for WVUE-TV Fox 8 News in New Orleans, Louisiana since joining the team in September 2020. Prior to joining, Fox 8 News, Davis worked for Fox 6 News in Birmingham, Alabama as a traffic anchor from September 2017.
Born and raised in Arkansas, Kelsey attended Woodland Academy before joining Ronald Reagan High School for her higher diploma. After graduating from high school in 2007, Davis joined Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.
While attending LSU, Davis has crowned Miss Louisiana State University in 2010. She also interned with the Louisiana Lieutenant Governor’s Office from 2009-2011. Immediately after graduation, Davis joined WAFB-TV in Baton Togue, Louisiana as a reporter. After spending three years at the station, Kelsey joined WDSU TV in New Orleans to work as a morning reporter and weekend fill-in anchor.
In September 2017, Kelsey moved to Birmingham, Alabama to join WBRC Fox 6 News as a traffic anchor and news anchor. After serving the station for three years, Kelsey joined WVUE-Tv, Fox 8 News as a Morning News Anchor.
During her journalism career, Kelsey has reported everything from Jazz Festivals to Saints Football, to the aftermath of devastating natural disasters, to major statewide elections. Some of her accolades include being a founding member of the Baton Rouge Area Association of Black Journalists. In addition, Davis is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated at LSU.
