Ken Olin Biography
Ken Olin is an American Actor, television director, and producer who is known for his role as Michael Steadman in the ABC drama series Thirtysomething. He even received a Golden Global Award for Best Actor-Television Series Drama nomination in 1990 for his role as Steadman in Thirtysomething.
As a producer, he produced Alias, Brothers & Sisters, and This Is Us (2016-2022). Talking about his education, he attended and graduated from The Putney School in 1972. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania where he completed his college career.
Olin is one of the vintage actors as he started appearing on television in of the late 1970s. His first series regular role was on the short-lived NBC comedy-drama Bay City Blues. He later joined the cast of the NBC police drama Hill Street Blues playing Detective Harry Garibaldi. In addition, he guest-starred on Murder, She Wrote, and Hotel.
In 1996, he played a leading role in the short-lived CBS crime drama EZ Streets, and from 1998 to 1999, Olin played the leading role in L.A. Doctors. In the 2000s, he had a recurring role opposite Patricia Wettig in the ABC drama series Brothers Sisters from 2007 to 2011. From 2015 to 2017, he had a recurring role in the CBS drama series Zoo.
Most recently in 2020, ABC ordered a sequel for Thirtysomething, and Ken is set to return alongside Mel Harris, Timothy Busfield, and Patricia Wettig. As a producer, he was an executive producer of a number of television dramas in the 2000s and 2010s. Some of his own producer credits include Breaking News, The Mob Doctor, and Sleepy Hollow.
