Kerry Drew Biography
Kerry Drew is an American Emmy-award-winning journalist currently working with Fox 5 News. She joined Fox 5 News in April 2012 where she was thrilled to be part of the station she grew up watching. Prior to joining Fox 5, Kerry served as a reporter for the PIX 11 Morning News in New York covering breaking news and featured stories.
She started her professional career as a weather reporter and anchor for WLNY-TV10/55 on Long Island. Kerry then proceeded to work as a general assignment reporter for 12 New Jersey.
Her last assignment before Fox 5 News was at PIX Morning News In New York City. At PIX, Drew reported on breaking news and other featured stories. In addition, she served as a New York-based correspondent for CBS Newspath.
Elsewhere, she anchored Ebru News on New Jersey-based Ebru TV. This is a daily world news broadcast that casts across Europe and the United States.
Talking of her education, Kerry graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan majoring in Communication studies. While there, she anchored School’s news programs on cable station WOLV-TV in Ann Arbor.
Kerry then proceeded to pursue her Master’s in Broadcast Journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She interned at Dayside on the Fox News Channel and also at Inside Edition.
In April 2012, her transit to Fox 5 News began when she and Bianca Peters have named co-hosts of Fox 5’s Good Day Wake Up. This came shortly after Sukanya Krishnan left the show in August 2019. Sukanya’s co-host Jennifer Lahmers also quit joining the renowned celebrity magazine, “Extra”.
