Kevin Ogle is an American journalist who is currently working as a lead anchor for KFOR-TV (channel 4), an NBC-affiliate television station in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jumping to the specifics, Ogle anchors the station’s weeknight 6 and 10 pm newscasts with Joleen Chaney. He also does occasional reports including the “Bottom Line” financial segments seen during the station’s 6:30 pm newscast. In addition, Kevin serves as moderator of the locally produced Sunday morning political affair talk show Flashpoint.
Born in Edmond, Oklahoma, he attended and graduated from Edmond High School. He later attended Kansas State University on a basketball scholarship. After his freshman year, he left Kansas State University and joined Oklahoma State University where he graduated with a journalism degree from the Paul Miller School of Journalism and Broadcasting.
After his graduation, he began his career as a television sports photographer and editor in Oklahoma City. Prior to joining KFOR-TV, he worked at CBS affiliate KFSM-TV in Fort Smith. He has also worked for ABC affiliate KSWO-TV in Lawton and KWCO radio in Chickasha.
He joined KFOR in 1993 as a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter. Kevin was later promoted to weeknight anchor in 1996. He has since worked his way to the top and is currently the station’s lead news anchor.
