Prior to her starring role in The Glades, she starred as Anne Sorelli in The WB comedy-drama Related, and as Nikki Fernandez on the main cast in thors season of the ABC television drama series Lost. In addition, she starred in the DirectTV drama series Kingdom on the Audience Network.
Born in Chicago, she began her acting career at Glenbard North High School in Carol Stream, Illinois. At this school, she performed in a school production of The Grape of Wrath. This was one of the things that helped her overcome her stage fright, which was one of the challenges she was facing at the time.
