Kimberly Gill Biography
Kimberly Gill is an American Award-winning journalist who is currently working as the News Anchor and reporter at WDIV-TV since joining the station in November 2014. Prior to coming to WDIV, she worked in Pittsburgh and Cleveland.
Most notably, she began her career at WBTW in Florence/Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, a CBS affiliate. A South Carolina native, she grew up embracing the changing seasons and the cold Midwest winters. She also rode 18-wheelers for FedEx and fueled commercial and private planes for Eagle Aviation before working in television.
Gill worked both jobs to help pay for her education at the University of South Carolina, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. Throughout her career, she has won recognition for her broadcasting work. In addition, The Ohio Broadcasters Hall of Fame voted her Personality of the Year in 2009, and ever since she has won two Emmy Awards.
She is a die-hard sports fan who cheers on her alma mater, the South Carolina Gamecocks, in particular. Gill is excited to be in The D and can not wait to meet new friends, try new restaurants, and go shopping.
