Kristen Kennedy is an American broadcast journalist currently working as the morning news anchor and investigative reporter for WKYT News in Lexington, Kentucky. She joined the WKYT News team in 2010 from Lubbock where she worked as a news anchor and reporter for KAMC. Kristen has been known for delivering the biggest most compelling news stories. Her most famous and compelling new stories on WKYT News include covering the 2012 tornado that tore through West Liberty with her crew and the riots that were organized by students studying at the University of Kentucky after a men’s basketball team basketball match.
Kennedy was born and raised by a middle-class family living in South Carolina. She grew up as a very silent and smart young girl who wanted to be a reporter while she was in elementary school.
